"Was die Welt im Innersten wohl zusammenhält", fragte ich mich schon als Kind, und bald erkannte ich, dass ich ihr in den Werken bestimmter Künstler weit besser auf die Schliche kommen konnte als durch abstrakte Gedankenakrobatik. Da zeigt sie sich plötzlich - die Wahrheit - und man versteht: "ja, genau! Genau das ist es!" Und in solchen Augenblicken weiß man, das man etwas wirklich Großes vor sich hat! ... So begann ich mich neben meinem Studium der Sinologie zunehmend für Kunst in allen ihren Formen zu interessieren. Als dann in den 80er Jahren nach langer Stille auch wieder von einer modernen chinesischen Kunst gesprochen werden konnte, war es wie ein Fest für mich und es sollte schon bald nicht an Künstlerfreunden fehlen, die hier auch den Continental Drift bereichern mögen.
Already as a child I wondered, what it is that keeps the world together. Soon afterwards, I began to realize that I could find a much better solution to that mystery in certain works of art than through abstract brain acrobatics. There it suddenly is : Truth!- or whatever you might want to call it – and one suddenly understands: “That’s it! Exactly that!!” And it is in those precise instants that you become aware that you are facing a truly great work of art.... That’s why during my time studying Chinese at university I became increasingly interested in fine arts in all its manifestations. So when in the 80s, after all those years of silence, people finally started talking of “Modern Chinese Art” again, it was like a feast for me. Pretty soon I had plenty of artist friends some of whom will hopefully help to make Continents Drift.
我从小就思考着“是什么把世界的内在元素之间的关系串联在一 起“。很快的我意识到，当人们通过思考仍然无法解释它时,却能 够通过某些艺术作品帮助我们察觉到这个神秘的世界。我们看到 一件艺术作品时，突然间，明白了所寻找的真相正呈现在眼前 ，“对，就是它！“ 如果面对 这样的艺术作品, 一瞬间立刻会知 道，这真是很伟大的作品。。。在我就读汉学的时候，我同样对 美术产生浓厚的兴趣。在沉寂了许多年以后，到了80年代正是所 谓“中国当代艺术”蓬勃发展的时候，对我来说真是一场艺术盛 宴，我心里特别高兴。我有不少艺术家的朋友。其中一些也参与 本次展览，希望他们的参与可以帮助推动大陆漂移

I have embraced the international life in many ways – living in Germany for 7 years, Israel for 1 year and along the way coming in contact with many different people from different cultures. All of these factors have fueled my passion for children’s education and cultural exchange programs and have ultimately lead to the creation of Shanghai Harmony, a company where Chines children are given the opportunity to increase their horizons and visit undergraduate programs abroad.
我的生活国际性而多面化 － 7年旅居德国，1年以色列 － 结识了 多国的朋友和文化。我的热情最终为儿童的教育和文化交流而结 果 － 满霓文化公司 － 为中国的儿童和年轻人提供国外学习，交 流，教育等机会，从而提升他们的视野海平线。
